Sustainability refers to a production model that aims to deliver the best possible result for both humankind and the natural world, as much in the present as in the future. Sustainability must above all guarantee a good balance between the production of goods and the use of raw materials, aiming specifically at increased production using less raw materials. As such, sustainability is intertwined with recycling, as well as with renewable energy sources and bioclimatic design.
Koskinidis Packaging is fully aware of the need to safeguard our natural world, as much for us now as for future generations. To this end, the company has introduced a number of measures to optimize its production process and improve its use of raw materials so that the overall impact of its operations remains positive.
In addition to making the most efficient possible use of raw materials in the design of its packaging products, the company has taken a number of other initiatives to ensure its operations are in harmony with the principles of environmental protection; these include achieving ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management Certification and Certification against FSC-STD-40-004.
Furthermore, Koskinidis Packaging uses recycled and recyclable raw materials, and recycles raw and secondary materials as well as chemicals and batteries. All lightbulbs at the company’s premises are LED, and climate control is achieved with new generation air-conditioning units. The company recently installed double glazing throughout its factory to further reduce its energy consumption and has replaced its fleet with modern EURO5 trucks.
